Eloi Ramon graduated in Telecommunications Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) in 1996, holds a Master in Micro- and Nanoelectronics Engineering (UAB 2007). In 1996 he joined as an Assistant Professor in Digital Systems and in the VLSI Design Group in the Electronic Engineering Department at UPC in the field of VLSI low noise digital design in advanced technologies where he was collaborating until 1999.
Since 2000, he is an Assistant Professor at the Electronic Department of the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). In 2004, he joined the HW/SW Prototypes and Solutions Lab (CEPHIS - UAB) working as HW Project Manager and Senior Researcher in wireless sensor networks (WSN) technology designs for low-power wireless systems in several research and industrial projects.
He is currently working as Head of Printed Microelectronics Group at the Center for Accessibility and Ambient Intelligence in Catalonia (CAIAC-UAB), a technology transfer node from the catalan IT network. His current research interests are focused on inkjet printed electronic devices and systems, electrical characterization, layout post-processing for inkjet and TDK integration. He is co-author of more than 20 publications and participant in more than 40 research and industrial projects.
